As you know, political campaigns are expensive. I expect to have active opposition and will need to engage in a vigorous campaign.

Montana’s campaign finance laws present significant challenges for statewide races. The maximum donation per individual is $310. Corporate and Political Party donations are not allowed but PAC contributions are acceptable but also limited to $310. Of course, family members and business associates can contribute.

Early fundraising demonstrates a strong candidate and an organized campaign.

That is why I am asking you at this time for a donation. It takes a lot of donations to finance a credible race. Your contribution now will give this campaign a substantial head start.
